COMMENTS: This
scenario is very fun to play. I especially like being the Aragons
and battling on multiple fronts. Anyone who is interested in
medeival warfare should definitely check this one out. Quite
challenging and very addictive.
FAULTS:
Only a few major problems.
The main problem is the Objectives system. It requires 50 or
less for a decisive defeat, and 100 or less for a marginal defeat,
and there are only 83 objectives in the entire game, and I highly
doubt anyone is going to be able to take even half of those objectives.
Also, I think there are some power problems. I think the French
should be heavier fortified since they are caught between the
British AND the Holy Roman Empire, and seemed doomed to lose.
I also think that the Holy Roman Empire is too powerful in the
east and that the "Other powers" should be beefed up.
I played as Aragon once and captured all of North Africa save
Egypt within about 15 turns. The only other thing is that the
unique units are simply too powerful.
ATMOSPHERE:
The atmosphere was perfect.
BALANCE:
There are 6 recommended
civs, I have played them all and they are all very very enjoyable.
CONCLUSIONS:
I found this scenario very
engrossing. There are never periods of lull in this scenario,
and there are always new conflicts and skirmishes arising all
over the place. Despite the few flaws I saw, I had tremendous
fun with this scenario and highly endorse it. |
