Overall Rating

SYNOPSIS: A truly unique and entertaining experience. You can see the time that it took to make a scenario of this high quality. Also the originality of the scenario, this is something that you have probably never seen before. I remember and old Apolyton scenario called CaveWars that sort of had the same idea, but was nowhere near as good. I recommend that everyone play this scenario.

Playability Rating

7 / 10
COMMENTS: While the units were easy to use and master, the map was a bit too big for easy travel. I found myself only using units that had alpine (scout) ability. God knows what I would have done if those heroes had died! Unit movement needs to be increased on all sides for better playability.

Some people might be confused as to what the purpose of terraforming and technologies really are.

The scenario is fun to play, and is also good because it has short turns but a long lasting game. That way you can play a bit now, a bit later, and after a couple weeks you beat it.

I couldn't find any direct faults and the atmosphere was perfect. The only balancing problem was the aforementioned human heroes alpine ability. Also the knights and paladins might come a bit late in the game for some people on earlier levels.

Level of General Care

9 / 10
COMMENTS: The map was perfectly designed, if a bit large. Dungeon rooms, with cities like "cracked door" and "strange tile" were wonderful to find and destroy. The major cities with their huge demons and frost giants were also fun to invade because of the strange locations. The only weird thing about the map is the huge clump of mountains to the top, but you only see that when you cheat.

The effect of going into the dungeon is very well done.

Another strange thing is the goblins having a city above ground, but only accessible through the dungeons. The documentation, tech tree, and details are all superbly done.

Art and Originality

6 / 10
COMMENTS: The artwork is good. The only reason a perfect score wasn't acheived here was a lack of new units. Many were recycled from Midgard and other great fantasy scenarios.

The whole concept of this scenario is unique. This is a very original scenario, especially the use of receivedtechnology in the events. You receive new hero units from events, from taking ciites, and so on.

NOTES: None.
