A very strange scenario, supposedly about Magellan. We think it should be classed as fantasy... but it's hard to tell.

SYNOPSIS: I decided to write this review because the author asked for it. He will have to live with these criticisms. To quote Mr. Temba, this scenario is "absolutely insane". I'm trying to pull the best out of it in this review, though. Some of the things in this scenario appear to be made as a joke or something -- and if it is so, I don't get it.

Playability Rating

2 / 10
COMMENTS: The scenario is playable, and I could sit quite a few turns on it. It would have been better if there would have been something like an events.txt or some sort of documentation such as a readme or an intro.txt. Both was missing, so I did not even know what this scenario was about. Because one of the civ's was named "Goal", I suppose the goal of the scen is to conquer their cities, but the scoring is just as in a normal game.

Level of General Care

1 / 10
COMMENTS: It is very difficult to say very much here, because I don't know what this scenario is based on. I don't understand how somebody can make a scenario "Serbia" with Slobidan Milosevic, "Kaiser" with "Fisel Castro", "The Babylon" etc. Needs a readme.

Art and Originality

3 / 10
COMMENTS: The artwork of this scenario is acceptable. The rocks seem quite OK. This scenario is VERY original. Or have you ever seen a scenario that has flying goats with the effects of a missile, horses that say "I live again" when they attack, anchors that work as caravans, rocks avaliable with aeronautics, et cetera?

There was a new terrain called "Mt. Fuji" that replaced the plains, and the icon for that was the normal plains icon with "Fuji" written on it. Some of the graphics for "icons.gif" where quite OK.

Just one more note: I found the sounds laughable. The author apparently tried to "remake" the divebomb sound with his own voice. And I DON'T want to know what he recorded in the "swordfgt.wav"!!

CONCLUSION: This scenario is a poor attempt at a fantasy scenario. I cannot describe everything; you should look at it yourself. Also, this scenario has a lot to do with anchors. Strange.
