Overall Rating

15/30
OVERVIEW: The map was large, pretty well done. Runs from 2014-2040. Not as many new units as I'd liked, but there were some, for the Americans, just a couple for the Zombies. There wasn't anything really new about this scenario, the clever concept really, was to give new techs when capturing zombie towns.

Playability Rating

3 / 10
COMMENTS: The scenario looked fun when I first started, but it started to drag, the difficulty is stifling. Also, not enough units to really make it fun, too many zombie cities that it was overwhelming. True, maybe the scenario was for expert players, but when you make ONE wrong move in this scenario and you're toast!

There weren't really any blaring faults, except for the unplayability. The scenario was way too long, and it didn't keep me interested.

The atmosphere could have been better, could have been a lot better, bronze age cities for the Zombies was not a good idea, also, newer terrain could have improved it. Maybe if everything had a hazy look to it. Overall, I think the scenario should have been more frightening, I mean, geez! The living dead take over, it SHOULD be horrifying, instead it was almost comical.

The scenario was not really well-balanced, the Zombies had an overwhelming disadvantage, and for the Americans to get back into the thick of things took a frustratingly long time. I think the creator should have given the Americans more units to start out with, they could afford to make at least ONE mistake without getting eaten alive.

One good thing about it was the Zombie sound! Nice job of all the sounds pretty much.

Level of General Care

7 / 10
COMMENTS: The map, in my opinion, should have been smaller, to make it a little easier for the Americans. The map was accurate to America though, good job.

The credits were good. The creator clearly outlined who helped him and such. Pretty much nil on the story line of the scenario though. Should have gone into detail about the background of the plot.

The tech tree was in order, just not creative enough, not imaginative enough. There were very few bugs in this scenario.

A pedia was included (good job!).

Art and Originality

5 / 10
COMMENTS: The artwork was mediocre. The zombie unit was probably the most interesting unit. I think the creator borrowed most of his units, or substantially modified imported units. The city icons were not very good; the zombies could definitely have had better looking cities. The terrain didn't add to the atmosphere very well either.

CREATIVE IDEAS: The scenario, I think, is the only scenario dealing with the dead taking over. The creator could have gone far with this, but lack of creativity, and overall boringness, ruined it. An original idea, but not original work.

CONCLUDING COMMENTS: This scenario could be majorly better, if the author improved it. A lot of work, and some more creativity could make this a VERY intesting and fun scenario. I have to say that this scenario is probably the lesser of all Blackclove's scenarios. BTW, try his Dungeon scenario!!
