[edit] Scenario Design Contests

The SDC is a tradition at the Scenario League which first started in 1999. Designers were invited to submit entries based upon a particular theme with the only prize being the honour of winning the contests. The first three contests were a yearly affair more or less but there was a hiatus in 2002/03 before the tradition was revived in 2004 with the fourth contest.

• Scenario Design Contest Four

was held in 2004 and its theme was the Age of Sail, with a PBEM(Play By E-Mail) requirement.

• Scenario Design Contest Three

was held in 2001 and its theme was Jason and the Argonauts for the MGE platform and Dracula for the TOT platform.

• Scenario Design Contest Two

was held in 2000 and its theme was Earth in the Year 3000.

• Scenario Design Contest One

was held in 1999 and its theme was Africa.

[edit] The Next Design Contest

Tentative discussions have been going on to use India as the theme for the next contest but the details have yet to be finalized. Proposed parameters of the contest have been posted in the Scenario Design Contest Five page for discussion.
